TMJ Pain?

TMJ pain is a common problem. Many people have clicking, popping, and pain in their jaw joints. TMJ refers to the joint between your lower jaw and your skull, it’s just in front of your ear on each side. It’s a lot like a knee joint. There is a disk inside the joint that sometimes gets out of place, leading to clicking and popping sounds. Just like any other joint, the TMJ can be injured, dislocated, or affected by problems like arthritis. Fortunately, many people that experience TMJ problems will see them resolve on their own. Others, however, will have pain and difficulty eating and moving their jaw. The good thing is that we can often help relieve these problems with some relatively simple interventions. If you are experiencing pain, clicking, popping, or any other type of jaw problem, we may be able to help!
